BOWMANVILLE — Cat lovers descended on Bowmanville Saturday for the city s second-ever cat tour, allowing both people and pets to dress up in Halloween customs and socialize among the like minded. The Bowmanville Cat Tour took place Saturday, allowing hundreds of visitors to walk the Far North Side neighborhood and meet cats. Throughout the afternoon, cats could be seen in a variety of vantage points, including from windowsills, strollers, backpacks, on shoulders and even on a Zoom “meowting.” Forty different homes across the neighborhood registered for the tour, many of which had more than one cat. While registered homes had designated locations on the tour, there were plenty more cats visible from unregistered homes, which the tour called “bonus cats.” Charlie attends a zoom meowting during the Bowmanville Cat Tour on Oct. 10, 2026.
